Green Dike, on the eastern side of Howdale Moor above Ravenscar, is an early medieval estate boundary laid out in AD660 by Lady Hilda, the founding abbess of Whitby Abbey. Also, two post-medieval boundary stones at the end of the dike are part of the Scheduled Monument. pic.twitter.com/8EZ5IrT7Kr
